Like the vast majority of electronic products today, our tablets are manufactured in China. There have rightly been many concerns over the last few years over the employment conditions in China following a period of rapid industrialisation in the country.
There have been reports of child labour in factories producing electronic goods for well-known western brands as well as unpleasant and unhealthy working conditions, exposure to dangerous chemicals and obligatory prolonged working hours.
We are able to reassure you that the factory where our Aspect tablets are produced categorically does not use child labour. All workers are paid and treated fairly and working conditions are safe, healthy and standards are equivalent to those found in British factories.
Workers are offered overtime if they would like it but are under no obligation to do so and are not permitted to work more than 48 hours per week.
